We’re so glad you’re here.
Our work is based on the principles of the Neurodiversity-Affirming Movement, where difference is seen as normal, not disordered.
We know how important this work is, because we are Neurodivergent.
Co-founded in 2022 by Anna Clarke (Psychologist & Play Therapist) and Monique Mitchelson (Clinical Psychologist), Divergent Futures is your hub for comprehensive resources, training, and consultation for supporting Neurodivergent clients through a strengths-based lens.
Our primary focus is to empower therapists and other professionals in integrating principles of the Neurodiversity-Affirming Movement into their work with Autistic and ADHD people.
We embrace the unique strengths of Neurodivergent individuals while acknowledging the inherent challenges faced in a world misaligned with Autistic and ADHD neurocognitive differences.
We believe in taking a compassionate, inclusive approach to education, and will meet you where you’re at in your journey.
Whether you're a seasoned professional looking to upskill, or you’re embarking on the early stages of becoming Neurodiversity-Affirming, we welcome you to join us in rewriting the narrative surrounding Neurodiversity!
Together, we can shape a world where we recognise the value of every Neurotype, and provide appropriate support for challenges that can arise from not being in the Neuromajority.

What Sets Us Apart…
-
We can proudly say we are speaking from experience, as we're both Neurodivergent ourselves.
Too often we see people claiming to be 'experts' on Neurodiversity.
Our point of difference is that we have a combined amount of 15 years of clinical experience as psychologists, as well 60 years living as Neurodivergent people.
We're here to meet everyone where they’re at, and invite all professionals to the table to learn from us. We're all in this together!
-
As passionate practitioners and advocates, we could easily dedicate a whole page to our values as an organisation!
In summary, they are:
Authenticity
Evidence
Compassion
Accountability
Courage
Change
Social Justice -
We are focused on the following 2 UN SD Goals to guide our business activities.
Goal 4 - Quality Education
We are providing evidence-based, high quality information for neuro-affirming practices in therapy.Goal 10 - Reduced Inequalities
When our clients give this care to their clients, this then leads to better school experiences and vocational attainment — further increasing education outcomes!
Both Monique & Anna are sought-after speakers and advocates, determined to share their knowledge and use their voices to amplify Neurodiversity-Affirming practices.
